Zašto English All Around?
Privatna umjetnička gimnazija i ove godine nastavlja organizirati festival English all around – Celebrating passion for English. Iskustvo učeničkog sudjelovanja na natjecanju, učenja i druženja želimo osnažiti i promicati kako bi i nove generacije mogle pokazati sve svoje talente, znanja, sposobnosti i vještine na engleskom jeziku te maksimalno uživati učeći i upoznajući svoje vršnjake iz cijele Hrvatske.
Svi učenici osnovnih i srednjih škola mogu sudjelovati u bilo kojem od ponuđenih izazova: Film, Glazba, Priča, Drama, Izlaganje, Govorenje i Sricanje.
Why English All Around?
Private High School for Arts also this year continues to organize the festival English All around – Celebrating passion for English. We want to strengthen and promote the students’ experience to learn and interact with their peers as well as the judges. That is why English All Around has been created – to enable new generations to show their talents, knowledge and skills in the English language, fully enjoying learning while spending time with their peers from all over Croatia.
All primary and secondary school students can participate in any of the following challenges: Movie, Music, Story, Drama, Presentation, Speaking, and Spelling.
Zašto Privatna umjetnička gimnazija kao organizator?
Nakon višegodišnjeg sudjelovanja na natjecanju Engleski u akciji rastužila nas je vijest da se natjecanje odgađa na neodređeno vrijeme. Naši su učenici uvijek vrlo zainteresirani za prilike da pokažu svoju kreativnost i vještine, a smatrali smo da je potrebno očuvati manifestaciju koja će učenicima osnovnih i srednjih škola omogućiti uživanje u engleskome jeziku i pokazivanje svojih radova kao krunu talenta i truda u nastavi i izvan nje.
Zato smo 2017. godine odlučili da se učenici i njihovi mentori okupe u našoj organizaciji i proslave tu strast koju gaje za engleskim. Shvatili smo da u našem svakodnevnom radu, kroz brojne kontakte s uglednicima i institucijama širom Hrvatske možemo stvoriti sve potrebne preduvjete da se ovakav festival može uspješno održati. Više od 300 sudionika iz 32 škole iz cijele Hrvatske obilježilo je prvo izdanje festivala.
2018. postali smo još ambiciozniji – dodali smo izazov izlaganja, još ranije krenuli u pripreme i dosegli broj od 52 škole i preko 500 sudionika! Kao pokrovitelji pojavili su se veleposlanstvo Australije i Indije!
Ove 2019. nema novih izazova, ali očekuju se novi sudionici i novi pokrovitelji! Izgleda da bi mogao biti još jedan sjajan festival!
Why Private High School for Arts as the organiser?
After several years of participating in English in Action competition, we were saddened by the news that the competition was cancelled. Our students have always been interested in showing their creativity and skills, and we thought that it was necessary to continue with a competition that will enable primary and secondary school students enjoy the English language and show their work as a crown of talent and hard work in and out of class.
That is why in 2017 we have decided to gather students and their mentors ourselves, in order to celebrate their passion for English together. We have realized that in our everyday work, through many contacts with experts and institutions all around Croatia, we can create the necessary preconditions for organising such a festival successfully. Over 300 participants from 32 schools came to the festival.
In 2018, we got even more ambitious – we added Presentation chalenge, even earlier commenced preparations and we had 52 schools and more than 500 participants! We were supported for the first time by Australian and Indian Embassy.
In this 2019. we will not be adding any new challenges, but we are expecting new participants and new supporters.
Zašto “Budućnost” kao ovogodišnja tema?
I ove smo godine svim zainteresiranima – učenicima, mentorima, sucima i svima drugima – ponudili pet tema koje smo smatrali interesantnima, dovoljno širokima da se u njima razmaše kreativnost naših učenika. Više o svih pet tema možete pronaći OVDJE.
Nakon prebrojavanja glasova posjetitelja – odabrana je tema Budućnost.
Niže možete pročitati opis ove teme koji ne uključuje obvezatne smjernice, niti iscrpljuje sve o čemu se pod ovom temom može raspravljati. Učenici i njihovi mentori mogu slobodno ovu temu obraditi na koji god kreativan način žele!
Tema je vrlo široka te pruža učenicima mnogo mogućnosti da se izraze kroz film, glazbu, tekst, predstavu i govor.
Why “The future” as the main theme this year?
This year we again proposed to everyone interested – students, mentors, judges and everyone else – five themes which we deemed interesting, broad enough to enable creativity of our students spreading its wings. More about all five topics can be found HERE
Upon counting votes received – the chosen theme was “The Future“.
Below you can find some descriptions of this topic, but they are far from being the mandatory guidelines or exhaustive of what can be covered under a particular topic. Students, under the guidance of their mentors, are free to cover this topic in any creative way they wish!
The theme is very broad and it gives students the opportunity to express themselves through movie, music, text, speech and a play. Furthermore, in this way they can speak up about many challenges, unsolved questions and further opportunities for self-growth.
